The DVD is in excellent condition and contains 4 rare, dramatised films of life in Britain during the Second World War both on the home front and in the armed services, from being called up to finding your way back to civvy street after de mobbing.
The 4 films vary in length but total 187 mins of viewing.
The films are The Next of Kin - this is a film about a commando raid and loose talk and the subsequent identification and capture of fifth columnists at home, so accurate that Churchill wanted it banned because it would not be good for morale. It features a cast of stars as Jack Hawkins, Basil Radford, Mervyn Johns.
The New Lot - looks at 5 new recruits joining the army and their transformation into efficient fighting men.
